Milestones in the company’s history

1975
Formation of the company. Move to Backnang in 1977.
The order structure focuses mainly on the general overhauling of cartoning machines.

1978
Relocation of the company to Allmersbach in Tal. Commencement of development and assembly of our own specialized machines and customized applications.

1980
Integration of Manfred Reiser as the technical CEO. Setting-up of a standard range of machines in the bag and cartoning segment.

1987
Increasing demand for specialized solutions, especially in the pharmaceutical sector and chemo-technical sector. Complete packaging lines are produced for the food and semi-luxury consumables sector.

1990
For the first time the proportion of pharmaceutical machines exceeds the proportion of lines for the food and semi-luxury consumables industry.

1994
Opening of our own sales office in the USA in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Our entry into the validation of machines in the pharmaceutical industry further expands our market position.

1995
Implementation of a process-oriented quality management system
in conformity with DIN ISO 9001.

1998
More than 200 people are employed by the company. The proportion of specialized machinery construction clearly exceeds half the total turnover. The company receives prizes for innovations and awards from customers and industry.

1999
Cooperation agreement entered into with the company Uhlmann Pac-Systeme in Laupheim.

2001
Appointment of Peter Claussnitzer, Thomas Weller and Markus Höfliger as chief executive officers. This secures the corporate management for the future. We move into our new sales and customer center. With a staff count of 320 the company achieves a turnover of € 40m.

2003
Expansion of the entire works area to 12,500 m2. Establishment of distributorships in Canada and in the Netherlands. Establishment of an in-house powder laboratory.

2004
Opening of sales offices in China and Switzerland. With a staff count of 360 the company achieves a turnover of € 48m.

2005
Establishment of GMP testing facilities with an area of 300 m2 for the trial running of lines under controlled conditions.

2006
4-story new development center with a total area for design and electronics of 3,500 m².

2007
Completion of the Development Center.

2008
Appointment of Mr Uwe Amann (Personnel + Controlling) and Mr Heinrich Havenstein (Production) to the management of the company.

2009
Completion of a multi-purpose building for Service, Assembly and Book-keeping.

2010
Workforce exceeds the 600 mark.

2011
Start of working for an assembly building for pharmaceutical lines.
