Extremely fine powder and gelatine residues are incurred in the production of hard gelatine capsules. These are removed completely by the polishing process provided in the capsule polisher KPG.
The capsules reach a rotating polishing wheel via a receiving hopper. Via baffle guides with a large surface area the capsules are conveyed from the center of the wheel to the outer zone. An optimally to the product adapted cleaning is effected while the capsules are passing through this segment. This process is additionally supported by the extraction of residues by way of a dust extractor. The extraction provides the additional benefit that the polishing wheel isconstantly cleaned, too.
